The Vanguard dinners were designed as business development opportunities to strengthen brand reputation and challenge current assumptions in the market. By bringing together high-profile guests from various industries, the events aimed to foster meaningful connections and build relationships with potential clients.

The dinners helped reinforce the organization’s reputation as a connector and advisor, creating valuable networking opportunities. The events led to net-new scopes of work, deepening relationships with potential clients.

Experience Design: Developed the event flow, from cocktail hour to dinner, ensuring smooth transitions and maximizing engagement. Designed interactive elements, including digital polling stations and conversation-promoting printed ephemera, to create a dynamic and participatory atmosphere.

Creative Direction: Led the visual identity of the event, designing invitations, signage, menus, and nametags to align with the evening’s theme and tone, ensuring a cohesive and elevated experience for guests.

Content Development: Collaborated with the team to create engaging content for the immersive cocktail hour and conversation prompts for dinner. Developed polling questions and accompanying visuals to spark meaningful dialogue.

Environmental Design: Collaborated with video specialists to integrate dynamic wall projections that supported the event’s storytelling and ambiance.

Creativity Dinner

To spark a conversation with design leaders about creativity in business, we introduced digital polling tables featuring simple agree/disagree questions. These questions weren’t about right or wrong answers but were designed to provoke thought and establish a baseline for the discussion.

The card deck further prompted rich and insightful conversations at dinner.

Using the projection software Touchify, we created an interactive wall showcasing a 25-year timeline of events. Attendees could engage with the display by touching “tiles” that flipped to reveal detailed descriptions of each event. Above the timeline, we highlighted the critical questions that shaped business during each period.
